Ruth Janet Mutua
Street art and oil painting artist
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Since 2006
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in street art, sometimes oil painting. My first show was in 2006 at Little Good Shepherd Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I try to remember everyone's name. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ruth
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Ruth: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
