Ruth Irene Kioko
Keeper of the reference
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Bayview Reading Room
- Since 1978
- English, Swahili
For 48 years I look after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Bayview Reading Room.
Some of my favorite visitors were children who came for the heating and stayed for the books.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ruth
I still remember the favorites of every regular.

What gifts mean to Ruth: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
