Ruth Birtukan Gebre
Coached softball for 20 years in Bahir Dar
- 🇪🇹 Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Bahir Dar Community Club
- 1996 to 2016
- English, Amharic
For 20 years I ran the softball program at Bahir Dar Community Club in Bahir Dar. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
What gifts mean to Ruth: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
