I've spent eleven years as a lecturer in materials science at Queensway Institute of Technology in Los Angeles. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a night-shift cleaner and in a dozen other fields. It is the best part of this job.
What gifts mean to Russell: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
