I coached badminton at Newcastle upon Tyne Holy Cross Swimming Club from 1996 to 2016. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
