Russell E. Thomas

Youth chess coach and mentor

  • 🇺🇸 St. Petersburg, Florida, United States
  • St. Petersburg Elmwood Community Club
  • 1986 to 2011
  • English
I coached chess at St. Petersburg Elmwood Community Club from 1986 to 2011. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
