I coached cross country at Moscow Frangipani Community Club from 1983 to 2016. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Ruslan: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
