Runa Shahana Khan
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇬🇧 Manchester, England, United Kingdom
- Manchester Trades Guild
- Since 2009
- English, Bengali
I've worked in welding since 2009. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 770 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Runa
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Runa: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
