I teach agriculture at Crown Girls' School in Mangaluru since 1996. Most days I teach Grade 6, and my door is open at lunch.
Over the years I've had 1,800 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ruma
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
