I've been a nurse for eight years, most of them in neonatal care at Lakeview Children's Hospital in Coyoacán. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
