Blacksmithing for 25 years in Brooklyn
- 🇺🇸 Brooklyn, New York, United States
- The Brooklyn Workshop
- Since 2001
- English, Spanish
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2001. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 980 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 25 years later for another job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rubén: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
