I've spent 47 years as a lecturer in sociology at Corpus Christi Polytechnic in Corpus Christi. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm learning the guitar.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Rowan
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Rowan: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
