Rowan G. Gilbert
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇿 Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand
- Elmwood Works
- 2006 to 2022
- English
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 2006 in Manukau and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Rowan
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rowan: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.

you fixed our roof in 2020 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Reading.
