Rose Wangari Mwende
22 years teaching agriculture in Naivasha
- 🇰🇪 Naivasha, Nakuru, Kenya
- Westbrook Middle School
- 1990 to 2021
- English, Swahili
For 31 years I was the agriculture teacher at Westbrook Middle School. I taught the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Rose
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Rose: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me agriculture in 2008 at Westbrook Middle School. I still remember the snow day nobody expected. Greetings from Ikeja.
