Rose Wangari Kessy

Blacksmithing for 23 years in Dodoma

  • 🇹🇿 Dodoma, Dodoma, Tanzania
  • Dodoma Workshop
  • Since 2003
  • English, Swahili
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2003. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 410 apprentices. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.

More about Rose

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
