Rose Fatuma Kipchoge

Basketball coach, Mwanza Athletic Club

  • 🇹🇿 Mwanza, Mwanza, Tanzania
  • Mwanza Athletic Club
  • Since 2015
  • English, Swahili
For eleven years I've run the basketball program at Mwanza Athletic Club in Mwanza. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never raise my voice.

More about Rose

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Rose: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
