For 35 years I was the history teacher at Starlight Public School. I taught the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
