Rosa G. Ávila

First-generation students mentor, Oaxaca de Juárez

  • 🇲🇽 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, Mexico
  • Oaxaca de Juárez Learning Hub
  • Since 2012
  • Spanish
For 14 years I've mentored people in first-generation students and leadership. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening. Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.

What gifts mean to Rosa: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
