Rony Zahid Akter
Master of baking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- The Dhaka Workshop
- 2017 to 2025
- English
I've worked in baking from 2017 to 2025. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 330 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Rony
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Rony: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
