I've been a nurse for 40 years, most of them in pediatrics at Jacaranda Community Hospital in Quezon City. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I've held a lot of hands. I wouldn't change a thing.

I still get cards from families years later. They're pinned to my fridge.
