I coached baseball at Eastgate Sports Club from 1998 to 2022. Most of my players were between 8 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Roman
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Roman: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
