I've coached cross country at San Jose Crown Athletic Club since 1987. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Roman
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Roman: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
