I've been a nurse for eight years, most of them in oncology at Saint Petersburg University Hospital in Saint Petersburg. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Roman
I still get cards from families years later. They're pinned to my fridge.
