Rolando F. Velasco
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Lotus Workshop
- Since 1994
- English, Filipino
I've worked in weaving since 1994. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,310 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I walk the dog by the river.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rolando: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
