I've been a nurse for 32 years, most of them in intensive care at San Nicolás de los Garza Children's Hospital in San Nicolás de los Garza. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I try to remember everyone's name. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
