Rocío T. Galindo
Master of auto repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico
- San Cristóbal de las Casas Trades Guild
- 2005 to 2017
- Spanish
My trade is auto repair. I opened my own shop in 2005 in San Cristóbal de las Casas and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rocío: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
