Roberto H. Tapia
Upholstery for 36 years in Guadalajara
- 🇲🇽 Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico
- Maple Ridge Works
- Since 1990
- Spanish, French
I've worked in upholstery since 1990. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,400 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.

Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Roberto: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
