Robert W. Lawrence
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
- Atlas Youth Club
- Since 1980
- English
I've coached chess at Atlas Youth Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Robert
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Robert: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
