I coached cycling at Varanasi Sports Club from 2007 to 2022. Most of my players were between 9 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Ritu: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
