I taught English literature at Tamale Technical College in Tamale from 1986 to 2017. Most days I taught primary school children, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 1,330 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
