Risa Naoko Kobayashi

Painter, potter and teacher at Riverside Print Workshop

  • 🇯🇵 Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan
  • Riverside Print Workshop
  • Since 1994
  • Japanese
I work mostly in embroidery, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 1994 at Riverside Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I also teach a weekly class at Riverside Print Workshop, which keeps me honest.

More about Risa

I've had 11 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Risa: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
