Risa Mai Shibata
Youth swimming coach and mentor
- 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
- 2005 to 2018
- English, Japanese
I coached swimming at Setagaya Lotus Athletic Club from 2005 to 2018. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.

What gifts mean to Risa: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
