Riku Ryota Yamazaki

Social studies and English literature teacher, Shinjuku

  • 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
  • Shinjuku High School
  • 1978 to 1990
  • Japanese
For twelve years I was the social studies teacher at Shinjuku High School. I taught Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I ran the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Thank you for stopping by.

More about Riku

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Riku: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
