Riku Kaneko

Bass player and teacher in Shinjuku

  • 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
  • Shinjuku Ensemble
  • Since 1988
  • English, Japanese
I've played bass since 1988, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach. I teach about 9 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.

More about Riku

I write my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
