Riaan R. Pillay
Teacher at Soweto Technical College, loves biology
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Soweto Technical College
- Since 1991
- English, Afrikaans
For 35 years I have been the biology teacher at Soweto Technical College. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Riaan: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me biology in 2004 at Soweto Technical College. I still remember the end-of-term party.

You taught me biology in 2006 at Soweto Technical College. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
