Riaan L. Ngcobo
Professor of mathematics, Pretoria Institute of Technology
- 🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
- Pretoria Institute of Technology
- 1989 to 2000
- English, Zulu, French
I spent eleven years as a lecturer in mathematics at Pretoria Institute of Technology in Pretoria. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Riaan
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Riaan: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
