I work mostly in glass art, sometimes woodcarving. My first show was in 2009 at Johannesburg Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the river near my house. I garden badly but happily.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Riaan: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
