Rémi Olivier Carre
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇫🇷 Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France
- Elmwood Works
- Since 1999
- French
I've worked in carpentry since 1999. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,380 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
More about Rémi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rémi: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
