Refilwe M. Jones
Environmental science and early years teacher, Durban
- 🇿🇦 Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
- Central Academy
- Since 1986
- English
I teach environmental science at Central Academy in Durban since 1986. Most days I teach Year 10, and I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Refilwe
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Refilwe: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
