I've coached rugby at Stellenbosch St. Joseph's Football Club since 1987. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Refilwe
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Refilwe: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
