Reem Manal Badawi
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Phoenix Works
- Since 2016
- English, Arabic
I've worked in pottery since 2016. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 210 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Reem
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
