Ravi M. Pai
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Kolkata, West Bengal, India
- Kolkata Athletic Club
- 1994 to 2016
- English, Spanish
For 22 years I ran the rowing program at Kolkata Athletic Club in Kolkata. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ravi
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Ravi: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
