Raúl A. Castro
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
- 2015 to 2024
- English, Spanish
I'm a chess coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 500 kids fall in love with the game.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
What gifts mean to Raúl: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2024. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Benin City.
