I've worked in blacksmithing from 1985 to 2010. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,350 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Rattana
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rattana: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 1993 and charged half what others asked! Greetings from Adama.
