Rattana Nittaya Vongsa
Master of leatherwork, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇠Phuket, Phuket, Thailand
- Old Riverside Repairs
- Since 1992
- English, Thai
I've worked in leatherwork since 1992. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,730 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I walk the dog by the river.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Rattana
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rattana: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
