I coached dance at Colombo Redwood Athletic Club from 1983 to 2011. Most of my players were between 12 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Rasika
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Rasika: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
