Rashidi Athumani Opio
Local blacksmithing and electrical work
- 🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya
- The Victory Shop
- Since 1978
- English, Swahili
I've worked in blacksmithing since 1978. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 1,300 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Rashidi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
