I coached rowing at Parma Football Club from 1993 to 2016. Most of my players were between 12 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Rashid
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Rashid: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
