I've spent 26 years as a lecturer in materials science at Tangier State University in Tangier. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a nurse and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Rashid: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
