Rashid G. Smith

Taught agriculture at Jacaranda Girls' School

I taught agriculture at Jacaranda Girls' School in Ekurhuleni from 1979 to 2004. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I answered every email, even at midnight. Over the years I had 800 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Rashid

If you were in my mixed-ability classes class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.

What gifts mean to Rashid: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
